Valdir Sequeira (POR) shared some thoughts about the matches against Korea:
“We have to be at our best and prepared to give all right from the start, as these are two decisive matches to maintain the 3rd rank in pool C and therefore, guarantee the FIVB World League 2014 participation”.

To beat the Korean side, that does not present a very tall height average – only two of their players stand above 2 meters tall – but are well known for their defensive effectiveness, the Portuguese opposite highlights to major factors:
“First of all, we need to be aggressive and keep the levels of concentration high, in order to develop our game in the best way. Then we need to take advantage from playing at home. In one hand we have the crowd on our side, which has been very supportive, on the other we are more rested as we don’t’ suffer from the travelling fatigue”. [Mens's National Team videos]
