The new Olympic Committee of Portugal (COP) governing bodies took possession yesterday, at Lisbon, for a four-year-term (2013-2016). Amílcar Saavedra, Portuguese Volleyball Federation director now adds a role at COP as a member of the Executive Commission, led by José Manuel Constantino along with the vice-presidents Hermínio Loureiro, Rosa Mota and other notorious.
José Manuel Constantino assured the intent to “go further, higher and
stronger” in the sports valorization. Graduated in Physical Education (1975), José Manuel Constantino is a member of the Sports Universty of Porto Representative Council (since 2009), member of the Sports Foundation Founders Council (2001), Sports Confederation of Portugal President (2000-2002), University teacher (1994-2002), Cultural and Social Director of the Oeiras City Hall (1996-2002), and Live Oeiras Board of Administration Council President (2006-2013).
