NEW COP EXECUTIVE COMISSION
TOOK POSSESSION...
 

The new Olympic Committee of Portugal (COP) governing bodies took possession yesterday, at Lisbon, for a four-year-term (2013-2016).

Amílcar Saavedra, Portuguese Volleyball Federation director now adds a role at COP as a member of the Executive Commission, led by José Manuel Constantino along with the vice-presidents Hermínio Loureiro, Rosa Mota and other notorious.

José Manuel Constantino assured the intent to “go further, higher and stronger” in the sports valorization.
“We don´t want a rupture project. We lead a change project, willing to work towards a better future, a future with more people training, more athletes competing, more qualified managers, more competent coaches and better sporting shows”, stated Constantino.

Graduated in Physical Education (1975), José Manuel Constantino is a member of the Sports Universty of Porto Representative Council (since 2009), member of the Sports Foundation Founders Council (2001), Sports Confederation of Portugal President (2000-2002), University teacher (1994-2002), Cultural and Social Director of the Oeiras City Hall (1996-2002), and Live Oeiras Board of Administration Council President (2006-2013).
