Norwegian Stod Volley Steinkjer, coached by André Sá, won the Nordic League, after emerging victorious in the Final Four held in Denmark, played in an all against all system. After downing Oslo (3-0: 25-22, 25-13 e 25-23) in the first day, Stod overcame Danish Holte IF Volley (3-2: 25-20, 22-25, 22-25, 27-25, 15-10) and Swedish Engelholm (3-1: 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19) in the following days.
Currently in the 2nd place of Elite Division, with the same points as Oslo, but one game ahead, Stod will have a hard task in a double-header weekend, hosting Forde (4th) and BSI (3rd) in the upcoming 2-3 of February.

In Italy, BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte, coached by Flavio Gulinelli, which has the Ferreira brothers in its roster, kept the 9th place in Serie A1, by posting its second consecutive win, the 6th overall, in its home match against Marmi Lanza Verona (3-0: 25-19, 25-16 e 28-26). Alex Ferreira recorded 10 points (9 attacks, 1 serve).
Next week, Castellana has a great opportunity to come close the 8th place in the standings; hence it will play Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia, currently holding that spot.

In Germany, João José’s VFB Friedrichshafen returned to victories after beating (3-1: 25-21, 25-16, 18-25 e 25-19). Netzhoppers KW, keeping the 3rd place in Bundesliga 1. The Portuguese middle blocker recorded 9 points (7 attacks and 2 blocks).
Next week, Friedrichshafen visits 7th-placed TV Rottenburg.
On its turn, Marcel Gil’s RWE Volleys Bottrop, who is still leading Bundesliga 2 – North, cruised past KMTV Eagles Kiel (3-0: 25-17, 25-15 e 25-17).
Next week, Bottrop hosts Soligen Volleys (3rd). Tânia Duarte’s VG Wiwa Hamburg fell to the 7th place of Germany Regional North – Women, after losing (2-3) to Eimsbutteler TV. On February 9, Tânia’s team will play TSB Flensburg.

In France, Nuno Pinheiro’s Tours VB continues to lead Pro A despite the minimal margin victory over Ajaccio (3-2: 22-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-17 e 15-10). The Portuguese setter stood out by recording 7 points (3 serves, 2 attacks and 2 blocks). Next week, the French champion visits Tourcoing, who stands last.
Tomorrow, Nuno’s team plays Rennes Volley 35 for the Cup of France quarter-finals.
André Lopes’ Chaumont hold the 6th place in Pro A, despite being downed at home by Narbonne (2-3: 23-25, 25-15, 27-25, 17-25 e 10-15).
The Portuguese hitter scored 15 points (11 attacks, 2 serves and 2 blocks). Next week Chaumont hosts Beauvais (9th).
Tomorrow, however, the Portuguese player team hosts Montepellier for the Cup of France quarter-finals.
Still in France, Carlos Teixeira’s Stade Poitevin Volley Beach fell to the 4th place of Nationale 1 - Pool B, after being defeated, at home, by Vendée VBC Herbretais (1-3: 25-21, 23-25, 25-27 e 20-25). Next week the Portuguese libero visits Saint-Quentin (3rd).

In Poland, Tiago Violas’ Jastrzebski Wegiel SA lost in the Enea Cup semi-finals, to Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle (1-3: 21-25, 19-25, 25-20 e 20-25), who eventually was crowned cup champions after beating Asseco Resovia Rzeszow (3-1: 19-25, 25-18, 25-21 e 25-13), in the final.
Next week, the Portuguese setter will play Delecta Bydgoszcz, leader of Plus Liga.

In Spain, UCAM Vóley Murcia, who has Núria Silva and Bonémia Gomes in its roster, returned to the 4th place of Women’s Superleague, after losing to GH Ecay Leadernet (2-3: 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 21-25 e 8-15).
Núria Silva recorded 5 points in the attack. Next week, Murcia hosts the championship leader, Haro Rioja Voley.

In Switzerland, Rui Santos’s Chênois Volleyball Club, who was downed by EN Gas & Oil Lugano (0-3: 23-25, 21-25 e 17-25), 1st Stage winner, will host Volley Nafels I in the Playoff’s 2nd gameday, scheduled to February 2.
