The Portuguese will be in the highlights of this week’s European competitions.

Avelino Azevedo will be the referee for tomorrow’s match Noliko Maaseik (Belgium) vs. Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle (Poland) of the 2013 CEV Champions League Playoff 2nd leg. The Poles win in three sets in the 1st leg match.

On Wednesday, French Tours VB plays Lokomotiv Kharkiv for the CEV Cup Challenge Round return match.
The French champions recorded a 3-0 victory (25-15, 26-24 e 25-22) at home in the 1st leg. If Lokomotiv manages to win the match, a Golden Set is to be disputed.
The winner of this round will play Knack Roeselare (Belgium) or Halkbank Ankara (Turkey) in the competition’s semi-finals.

Also in the day after tomorrow, Norwegian Stod Volley Steijnker, coached by André Sá, hosts CSM Bucaresti, in the return match, after being downed (0-3: 18-25, 16-25 e 18-25) by the Romanian in the 1st leg. Provided that Stod wins, a Golden Set is to be played.
The winner of this round will play VT Aurubis Hamburg (Germany) or Hapoel FKAR-Saba in the competition’s quarter-finals.

Thursday, António Sobral will referee the match between Andreoli Latina (Italy) and General Haching, for the CEV Cup Challenge Round 2nd leg, after the Italian side, playing away, dominated the Germans (3-0) in the 1st leg.
