BIG MATCH IN THE UPCOMING ROUND
 

There’s a big game coming up this weekend, due to the current position held by the teams involved, AJ Fonte do Bastardo (3rd /16 gp/43 pts) x SC Espinho (2nd /17gp/43pts), scheduled for Sunday, and due to the fact that this two were National Champions in the last two seasons.

There’s also a battle for the 5th and 6th positions of the table, involving Vitória SC (5th /17gp/30pts) who will meet AJ Fonte Bastardo at Azores on Saturday and Clube K (10th /16gp/8pts), on Sunday. Esmoriz GC (6th/18gp/28pts) visits Leixões SC (12th/16gp/0pts), AA Espinho (9th/18gp/19pts) and GC Vilacondense (7th/18gp/24pts) will go head-to-head at Espinho and SC Caldas (8th/19gp/23pts) will try to overcome Castelo da Maia GC (4th /19gp/40pts).

CS Marítimo (11th/18gp/6pts) x SL Benfica (1st/18gp/51pts), Clube K x SC Espinho e Clube K x Vitória SC, this one on Sunday, will complete this weekend’s round, which will begin to define the 1st standings, when we are at the verge of the National Championship I Division – Men 1st stage finale. In the women’s championship matchday which will fixture only three matchups, there should be some balanced matches and nice volleyball shows. Castelo da Maia GC (4th/12gp/25pts) x GDC Gueifães (3rd/12gp/27pts), SC Braga (7th/12gp/12pts) x Lusófona VC (6th/12gp/15pts) and GC Santo Tirso (8th/11gp/9pts) x CF Belenenses/Blue (5th/12gp/16pts). Meanwhile the Cup of Portugal - Women 2nd Round will be played on Saturday, with the focus being on the matches between I Division teams, Castelo da Maia GC x Leixões SC and GC Santo Tirso x CF Belenenses/Blue. The Quarter Final is to be played by the 6 winning teams + Madeira regional winners (TDB) and Azores regional winners (CD Ribeirense), and is scheduled to February 17 of 2013. The Quarter Final draw is set to January 22 at 18h15.
