GIRA-VOLEI TRAVELS TO THE NORTH
AND CENTER OF THE COUNTRY
 

In the next two weeks, between 19 and 29 of November 2012, Gira-Volei will travel to the North and Center of Portugal. FPV Technical and Development elements in collaboration with city halls will carry out training courses in Braga, Tábua, Tondela and Amares.

The training course to be lectured in Braga is scheduled for November 19, 14h00 GMT at Sá de Miranda School, followed by Midões, Tábua in the Coimbra district on November 21, 10h00 GMT at Tábua City Hall.

In collaboration with Sports and Physical Education Association of Tondela, Viseu, the training course will be held in this institution facility on November 22, 14h00 GMT.

On November 24, Gira-Volei’s training course will be lectured at Amares High School.
Two days later, the lectures will take place at the Barcelos City Sports Hall with the support of Barcelo’s Sport Municipal Company. On November 29 FPV elements will be present in Resende.

These courses which will be especially addressed to Gira-Volei guides, Physical Education teachers, and students, will be lectured by Leonel Salgueiro, National Gira-Volei Coordinator and Carlos Prata, Head of Development.

The training course contains a theoretical part – project presentation and methods to apply to Gira-Volei, which gathers kids from 8 to 15 years old – and a practical part with several demonstrations and exercises of this easy, fun and competitive game. Created in 1998, it develops now through over 1800 centers nationwide and moves more than 100.000 young athletes.
