Joao Jose’s VFB Friedrichshafen came victorious as the German team beat TV Buhl 3-0 (25-20, 25-18 e 25-18) in an away match for Bundesliga 1 now standing in the 4th place of the competition.
The Portuguese middle blocker rested for the more important upcoming matches: on October 31 they will play for the CEV Champions League against Zenit Kazan, on November 3 they will host CV Mitteldeutschland, current 7th placed team in the Bundesliga 1 standings, and on November 7 they will play Netzhoppers for the German Cup.
In Bundesliga 2 North Marcel Gil’s RWE Volleys Bottrop has suffered their first loss. Playing away Gil’s team lost to TSG Solingen Volleys 1-3 (19-25, 19-25, 25-23 e 22-25) who reached Bottrop at the top of the standings. The next match for Marcel is scheduled to November 4 when his team hosts the 11th place TSGL Schoneiche.
In Women’s German Regional North Tânia Duarte’s VG Wiwa Hamburg climbed to the 6th place in the standings after beating (3-1) TSB Flensburg.

After losing the lead of French Liga Pro A, Nuno Pinheiro’s Tours VB and defending champions, has suffered again to beat a weaker side. The victory over Ajaccio came only in the tie break 3-2 (20-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-19 e 15-13). The Portuguese setter recorded 3 points for his team.
On the other hand, André Lopes Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute Marne lost in Narbonne 1-3 (22-25, 25-17, 23-25 e 24-26) despite the 11 points collected by the Portuguese. His team maintains the 10th position in the standings, and on the November 3 they will host the 9 placed Beauvais. Still in France, Carlos Teixeira’s Stade Poitevin Volley Beach held on to the 4th place of Nationale 1 - Pool B after defeating (3-1: 24-26, 25-16, 25-17 e 25-17) Beauvais VC.
In Women’s Nationale 3 - Pool B Renata Guerreiro playing for Asul Lyon Volley remains steady in the lead as his team beat VC Meximieux in straight sets (3-0: 25-15, 25-20 e 25-11).

In Italy’s Serie A1 Gulinelli’s and the Ferreira brothers BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte has lost to Casa Modena por 1-3 (27-25, 19-25, 13-25 e 27-29) and was relegated to 11th.

Rui Santos Chênois Volleyball plays tomorrow Crimsoda Krasnoperekopsk in Ukraine, for the CEV Cup Round of 32 second leg. They will play again for the Swiss championship on the November 3 with EN Gas & Oil Lugano, which currently occupies the 2nd place.

Moving to Poland now, Violas Jastrzebski Wegiel SA was relegated to the 5th place of Plus Liga after losing in straight sets (0-3: 22-25, 23-25 e 23-25) with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. In the next round Violas and his team will host PGE Skra Belchatów.

In Spain, Núria Lopes da Silva who is playing for UCAM Voley Murcia will visit CV Barça in the Women’s Superliga (SFV) opening day, scheduled for the November 3.

In Norway, Stod Volley, coached by André Sá posted a back-to-back win, as Stod Volley defeated NTNUI Volley in straight sets (3-0: 25-15, 25-14 e 25-19), team who André’s side will host in the next round of Women’s Elite Division scheduled for November 17.
