MATCHDAY AGAINST CANCER
 

Following the partnership establish between the Portuguese Volleyball Federation (FPV) and the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC), we announce that the next matchday (27 and 28 of October) will be entitled as “Matchday Against Cancer”.

The main objective is to promote the LPCC’s actions in the fight against cancer, and mainly the national collective that will take place from 1-4 November 2012.

FPV will contribute in this promotion by using the live broadcast of the match Castelo da Maia GC x SC Espinho, which will take place on Saturday Ocotber 27 at 15h35 (GMT), as a mean to pass on the message.

Both team’s players and coaches are to join this campaign. The last action is expected to come from the fans that certainly will once again support a cause promoted by “Volleyball Solidarity”.

According to LPCC, the national collective “is the most important financing source to give a proper response to the frequent aid requests. It is also an important channel to the LPCC’s promotion and it is organized in several geographical areas I the country. The raised funds ensures the continuity of its projects”.
