The German team where Marcel Gil plays this season managed to stay at the top of Bundesliga 2 North, after beating (3-2: 24-26, 23-25, 27-25, 26-24 e 15-6) SVG Luneburg.
The Portuguese middle blocker is playing regularly from the start and shows satisfaction by the way things are running for him in his second European adventure.
"I’m loving this experience. The organization within the club has surprised me in a very positive way. Here the working conditions are great which allows me to develop my physical attributes as well as in the block", said Marcel Keller Gil who represented Palma Volley two seasons ago. In the next round (October 21) Bottrop will host 9th place KMTV Eagles Kiel.

In Women’s German Regional North VG Wima Hamburg where Tânia Duarte plays, which currently rests at 7th place will host 4th place Eimsbutteler TV in the next round (October 20).

In the Italian Serie A1 opening day, BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte coached by Flavio Gulinelli and where are currently playiing Alexandre and Marco Ferreira, has lost at home (1-3: 20-25, 20-25, 25-23 e 20-25) with Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo, Gulinelli’s former team. Alexandre Ferreira recorded 9 points (7 attack and 2 block).

Carlos Teixeira’s Stade Poitevin Volley Beach lost ( 2-3: 28-26, 24-26, 25-16, 22-25 e 10-15 with Entente Beaucourt/Sochaux that now rests at the 5th place of France Nationale 1 – Pool B. Poitiers will visit last place VC Michelet Halluin in the next round scheduled for Ocotber 13.

Also in France, Renata Guerreiro who represents Asul Lyon Volley kept the 1st place of Nationale 3 – Pool B after beating Union Sport Issoire VB 3-0: 25-23, 25-17 e 25-15).

Andre Lopes who now represents Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute Marne and Nuno Pinheiro who joined defending champions Tours VC are to meet in the October 13, in the League Pro A opening day.

In Switzerland, Chênois Volleyball Club where Rui Santos plays this season lost their lead after having two back-to-back losses. On Saturday Santos’ side lost ( 1-3: 25-20, 19-25, 18-25 e 23-25 with Lausanne UC I. On Sunday the defeat came by the hands of Schonenwerd I (2-3 (25-18, 19-25, 28-26, 18-25 e 6-15).

Playing for his second year with Polish team Jastrzebski Wegiel SA, Tiago Violas played in their victory over Effector Kielce ( 3-0: 25-15, 27-25 e 25-22), having Violas contributed by recording 1 point for his team with an ace.
