The German team RWE Volleys Bottrop, where Marcel Gil plays this season, reached the top of Bundesliga 2 North, following their win (3-0: 25-19, 25-19 e 25-16), over VC Bitterfeld-Wolfen. The Portuguese middle blocker played all 3 sets.

In the Women’s Germany Regional North, Tânia Duarte that plays for VG Wiwa Hamburg, beat (3-2) VC Eimsbuttel resting now in the 7th place of the competition. In the next round (October 20) Tânia Duarte and their team will face the 4th ranked team Eimsbutteler TV.

Also in Germany remains João José, captain of VFB Friedrichshafen, which this year will try to recover the championship title. In the first round (October 15) Friedrichshafen will play away with Berlin Recycling Volleys, defending Bundesliga 1 champions.

From 28-30 September, VFB Friedrichshafen played in Romania, in a friendly tournament alongside CVM Tomis Costanza (Romania), Istanbul BBSK (Turkey) and BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte (Italy), team coached by Flavio Gulinelli, Portugal’s Head Coach and where also play the Ferreira brothers, teammates with João José in the Portuguese National Team.

Stade Poitevin Volley Beach of Carlos Teixeira win away Saint-Louis Neuweg por 3-1 (31-29, 21-25, 26-24 e 25-20) and rests at the 6th position of Nationale 1 – Pool B.

Still in France, André Lopes and Nuno Pinheiro which left Stade Poitevin Volley-Ball Pro but remain representing clubs from League Pro A. The wing spiker is currently representating Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute Marne, the setter is currently playing for the defending champions Tours VC.
The two sides will face head-to-head on October 13, in the first round of League Pro A.

One final note from France, where Renata Guerreiro, representing Asul Lyon Volley, leads Nationale 3 – Pool B, following their victory against ASVEL ( 3-0: 25-5, 25-12 e 25-19).

In Switzerland, the Portuguese middle blocker Rui Santos now represents Chênois Volleyball Club which is the leader of the championship despite having lost their last.
