The adoption of the Cool Volley programme as the basic tool to expand volleyball and beach volleyball throughout the world is one of the keys to achieve the goals projected by FIVB under the world vision plan 2016. The assertion was made by Mr Vicente Araujo, president of the FIVB Development Commission, during his presentation to the World Congress on Thursday. “By utilizing its existing attractive promotional material and the increase of the campaign we can make a big impact around the world through all the national federation category I and II,” Araujo stated. He explained that if used correctly, Cool Volley can serve also as an educational tool in primary schools as well. Araujo also commented on the success of the Volley All Festivals and its growth over the past three years pointing out that during that period 1.3 million youngsters took part in these grassroots events which benefited from big media coverage.
