THE FAVORITE ROMANIAN TEAM

The Women’s Senior National Team which has arrived yesterday at Piatra Neamt in Romania, after a five and a half hour trip, trained this morning in the Sala Polivalenta, venue of the match scheduled against the Romanian side, at 19h30 (local time) for the Pool D 1st tournament of the 2013 European Championship Qualifying 2nd round.

“After a long and exhaustive trip, we trained and adapted our team to the pavilion conditions, and we had some time to rest as well, as we were the last team training here. The players are responding well, and there’s nothing else to do right now but to wait for the match and hope they can perform as planned” said Filipe Lacerda, National Team Assistant Coach.

From the side of Portugal’s opponent, Igor Lovrinov, Croatia Head Coach, country that will host the 2nd tournament, says Romania is the favorite team in this pool. “We will be happy if we can defeat Great Britain and Portugal. Concerning Romania, we will do everything to surprise them. We have many injured players during our preparation and for that reason, our team is a mixing of young and experienced players”.
