A Men’s Senior National Team of Portugal will be facing today (18h45 GMT+1) the National Team of Iran, in the second friendly match of the training camp held in Slovenia. Yesterday, Portugal faced Slovenia in a match that ended in a tie (2-2: 25/21, 25/17, 21/25 and 19/25), since the Slovenian technical team requested to not play the fifth set. In this match, and after the Portuguese side dominated the first two sets, the National Head Coach, Flavio Gulinelli, made some re-arrangements on his team, in order to give all players the opportunity to compete. What was initially a friendly tournament with the teams of Portugal, Slovenia, Iran and Croatia turned to be a series of friendly matches, now with the presence of Qatar. Just like Portugal, Slovenians and Croatians are preparing their participation in the 2013 European Championship Qualifying Round, while Iran is preparing their World League playoff match against Egypt.
