NATIONAL TEAM WILL FACE
GERMANY
TOMORROW

The National Team trained in Fraport Arena in Frankfurt where they will play tomorrow in the Pool D of the
World League 2012. The matches can be followed live on the Sport TV and in
the website www.laola1.tv.
In the end, Flavio Gulinelli, national coach, said:
"This hall is beautiful, the floor is very good and the lighting is
excellent. The only problem is the heat, because the temperature of 28ºC here
in Frankfurt is felt inside. The training was OK, the players are fully
committed to training and have assimilated the way the team should play.
We are working hard in the height and depth of the attack. We have improved
some points, but we still have to further improve other aspects. It is a
work that has to be progressive, but the fact that we will face excellent
teams with very high blocks already require that our players attack as
high as possible."
Press Conference with coaches
The national coach was first to speak:
"We are trying to launch a new generation of players. Our position in
the World League 2012 will be the one of learning. Let us learn from these three
strong teams that are part of our pool".
Radostin Stoychev, Bulgaria coach:
"Bulgaria will use the World League to prepare for the Olympic qualification.
It is an excellent opportunity for us because we play against good teams
in
this pool. We can not talk about favorites. The new competition format
requires a lot from the teams and anything can happen".
The Belgian Vital Heynen, coach of Germany, said:
"Of course we want to win games, but in Bulgaria [European Olympic
qualification tournament played two weeks ago], we were not anxious to
win and we played at a very high level. Here in Frankfurt, our posture will
continue to be this: we want to improve from match to match. That is our
goal".
Javier Weber (Argentina):
"We are already qualified for the Olympics and this World League will be
very important in the preparation of our presence for London 2012,
apart from anything else because we have a very strong group of teams in Pool D. It is a great opportunity for my team
to get even better".
