2012: NATIONAL YEAR
OF ETHICS IN SPORT

2012 is the National Year of the Ethics in Sport and the Government created the National Plan for Ethics in Sport.
This Plan, which runs until 2015, aims to promote ethical values ​​associated with the sport through a broad and diverse set of initiatives involving all Portuguese society.

The National Ethics in Sport (PNED) has, as its foundation, the Code of Ethics in Sport of the Council of Europe -  "Fairplay in Sport", accepted by the European Ministers.

The PNED is a set of structured and planned initiatives, to promote the values in sport. Values such as fair play, respect for rules, respect for others, responsibility, friendship, education, volunteering, among many others. These values are intended to be assimilated and lived in the sport.
