PORTUGUESES IN ALL FRONTS

Not only the athletes or coaches take the name of Portugal to the four
corners of the world. Other Portuguese also take it, with their presence and
action, in several Volleyball competitions, both in
indoor, or Beach Volleyball.
The referee Rui Carvalho will be present in the next edition in the
Olympic Games to be held from the 27th of July to the 12th of August
2012 in London, England. Jose Casanova, a former international referee,
will be in the Olympics for the fourth consecutive time, having been
present in Sydney, Athens and Beijing, as Chairman of the Arbitration
Committee for Beach Volleyball.
As the Delegate of the FIVB Referees, José Casanova is present in the
following stages of World Tour Beach Volleyball 2012 (Swatch FIVB Beach
Volley World Tour): Open of Brazil (16-22 April, the Polish Open (24
to April 29 ) Open of Czech Republic (22-27 May), Grand Slam of Italy
in Rome (12-17 June), the Swiss Grand Slam in Gstaad (2-8 July), and
Grand Slam of Poland, in Stare Jablonki (13-19 August).
Rui Carvalho will also be part of the refereeing team in the following
stages of World Tour Beach Volleyball:
23th to 30th of April (Open Myslowice, Poland)
21st to 28th of May (Open in Prague, Czech Republic)
05th to 13th of June (Grand Slam in Moscow, Russia)
24th of June to 2nd of July (Grand Slam in Stavanger, Norway)
8th to the 16th of July (Grand Slam in Berlin, Germany)
Henrique Gomes, Director of the Portuguese Volleyball Federation (FPV)
will be the CEV Technical Supervisor in the Men's and Women's European
Under-20 in Beach Volleyball to be held in the Austrian town of Hartberg.
Sandra Deveza integrates the refereeing team at the European Under-20, in
the Grand Slam in Klagenfurt, Austria, from the 15th to the 23rd of July
World Tour Beach Volleyball.
