IN THE BLOCK
The Jastrzebski Wegiel SA of Tiago Violas played yesterday the Final
of the Polish Cup and lost by 0-3 (16/25, 20/25 and 19/25) against PGE
Skra Belchatow.
The Stade Poitevin Pro Volley-Ball of André Lopes, Nuno Pinheiro and
Carlos Teixeira won by 3-1 (25/12, 18/25, 29/27 and 25/17) against
Toulouse and returned to the leadership, due to the defeat (1-3) of the VC Tours in Cannes. André Lopes and Nuno
Pinheiro scored, respectively, 6 and 3 points.
In the League B, Ason Volley Ball Orange-Nassau of Marco Ferreira, lost
by 1-3 (27/29, 25/22, 19/25 and 20/25) against the Asnieres and dropped
to the 10th place of the table. Marco Ferreira scored 3 points.
In Germany, VfB Friedrichshafen of João José remains in the second place
of the Bundesliga, with the Portuguese in evidence in the victory by 3-0
(25/22, 25/10 and 25/15) against Evivo Duren, scoring 14 points (6 in
the attack and 8 in the block).
The Libertas Brianza Cassa Rurale Cantu of Valdir Sequeira went down to
the last place in the Italian A2 League losing 1-3 (23/25, 25/21, 19/25
and 16/25) against BCC Nep-Castellana Grotte. The opposite Portuguese
scored of 17 points (15 attacks and 2 serves) and was the best scorer
of the match.
The VC Argex Duvel Puurs of Frederico Siqueira won against the Axis
Shanks Guibertin by 3-1 (26/24, 19/25, 25/16 and 25/18). Frederico
scored 4 points all in the attack.
