NATIONAL TEAMS: THE MESSAGE IS
ALWAYS OF HOPE...

The Christmas Tournament between the youth teams (boys and girls) of Portugal and Spain ended with a deserved and reinvigorating Christmas dinner that brought together all the participating players, the technical and medical teams, directors of the Portuguese Volleyball Federation (FPV) responsible for their teams in the Lar Juvenil dos Carvalhos (pictured).

The Portuguese junior teams won their tournaments, but most important were the moments of competition that the players and the technical teams were able to enjoy, and the sharing of experiences and good will with foreign teams.

Daniel Lacerda, National Technical Director of FPV, outlined the preparation of youth teams until the entry into the competition in the qualifying rounds for the European Championship , highlighting the excellent conditions that result from permanent trainings, divided by the Colégio dos Carvalhos School, ES/3 dos Carvalhos e Lar Juvenil dos Carvalhos, where they train and / or teams are housed - all junior and youth.

"As usual, this time of break in the school, took the time to carry out trainings sessions of observation or even an international training period.
Again, we organized a training period together with the National Team of Spain, using all the resources we have now, with the move to the Carvalhos, where we use a large group of athletes, which allows you to have a group of junior and another at the age of youths.
This gives us the possibility, at the same time, to make an assessment as referenced athletes over several years and facilitates the integration of new athletes, being able to advance an accurate assessment of potential players who will join the National Team again next year ".
