5TH NATIONAL MEETING OF
GIRA-VOLEI MONITORS

The Fifth National Meeting of Gira-Volei Monitors called "Gira-Volei: From level I to level II" and organized by the Portuguese Volleyball Federation (FPV) in conjunction with the Volleyball Association of Alentejo (AVAL) has emerged as a qualitative and quantitative success.

According to the debriefing of the organization:
"This V National Meeting shows the success that the project Gira-Volei has had over the years. In an attempt to meet the needs presented by monitors / teachers of Gira-Volei throughout this process, we concentrated this time in training and reflection on important and fundamental aspects  for Gira-Volei to continue on the path to success. This year and considering the feedback presented by monitors / teachers we felt the need to have an action with a strong practical part. "

The monitors' response to this incentive could not have been better.

"The participation of a very large group of teachers, some of which from schools that already have an activity of Gira-VOlei and School Sports Cores, and have in view the possibility of formation of clubs, was for the organization, through of all the effort and dynamics of AVAL and FPV, a very positive aspect.

In summary: We believe that the objectives have been achieved and the participants left the meeting more familiar with all the basic techniques of our sport. We felt a great satisfaction from all participants by the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired. Everyone seems to have motivated and energized their participation.
We wish to emphasize also the presentation by the intern teachers of the High School of Castro Verde, Nuno Alves and Rúben Lança, on "AVAL - statistics of development and perspectives of organizational evolution."
We hope to see results in 2012, with all actions taken jointly by FPV and AVAL to stimulate their development and growth, a fact for which the Board of the Association has shown a great dynamism and commitment", concludes the organization.

The event was held at the School EB2 3 / S Dr. João Brito Camacho in Almodovar, Beja district and was primarily aimed at managers and monitors of the centers of Gira-Volei, managers and technical directors of regional associations of Volleyball, senior municipal councils, teachers at all levels of education, higher education students, athletes and others.
