JUNIORS BEAT YOUTH
IN MATCH AGAINST SPAIN

The Youth Women's Teams are conducting a bilateral tournament with Spain, in Colégio dos Carvalhos , Vila Nova de Gaia.
The National Team of Portugal A, guided by Gilda Harris, is composed of cadets, players while the selection of Portugal B is driven by Luis Fernando and formed by juniors.

In the first match of this Christmas tournament, Portugal B beat Portugal A by 3-0 (25/18, 25/14 and 25/21).

The Junior Women's National Team, coached by Fernando Luis will compete in the Group C of qualifying for the 2012 European Championship category, to be held in Romania, from 10 to 15 April 2012.
Therefore, following the preparation plan for this important competition, this training session will follow the traditional participation in the Christmas Tournament to be held 26-30 December in Guadalajara (Spain).


In the qualifying for the 2012 Junior European Championship , Portugal is integrated in Group C (Romania) also composed of Russia, Hungary, Finland, Greece and Romania.
The 1st ranked team go directly of the final phase while the
2nd and 3rd placed will have to play a 2nd round.
The Final Phase  of the 2012 Women's Junior European Championship will take place in Ancara (Turkey) from August 18-26. Already qualified: Turkey (organizer), Italy, Serbia, Czech Republic - 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed in the 2010 EC.
