Portugal will once again host a CEV Beach Volleyball Youth Summer Festival. The event will take place at Portimão, Algarve on the September 25 and 26. This year competition will be named Portimão Beach Volley Youth Summer Festival - LET THEM PLAY.

The Portuguese Volleyball Federation will be the organizers of the CEV development program Youth Summer Festival, alongside with the Alentejo e Algarve Volleyball Association (AVAL) and the Portimão City Hall.

The Portimão Beach Volley Youth Summer Festival - LET THEM PLAY aims to the age groups of U14 (born after 2002), U16 (born between 2000 and 2001) and U18 (born between 1998 and 1999) and will be divided in two great moments.

The 25th of September will be scheduled for an open activity, destined for promotion of the beach volleyball, on which every youngster can participate. The Youth Festival competition is to be played on the 26th, involving the age groups mentioned above of both genders, which constitutes a great opportunity for the young Portuguese talents to show their skills and acquire new experience.

There wasn’t a better slogan for the event, as “Let them play” tells all about the objectives of this initiative, which plays a great role for both CEV and FPV as the Portuguese Volleyball Federation has been developing its beach volleyball projects by expanding the players base as well as offering them the best conditions possible for their grow.
